 The center of our cooking school is a beautiful wood-fired oven built by Innkeepers Michael & Carol. While best known for awesome pizza, wood-fired ovens are great for searing meats, roasting vegetables and crafting fabulous breads. The cooking school also has a full commercial kitchen which will allow us to make entire meals each class, from salads and appetizers, to entrees and desserts.
Each weekend will focus on a different region or seasonal NH food and will be designed to be informative yet fun, while allowing you to enjoy some great food. The cost for the Wood Fired Pizza Classes are $99 per couple added to the room of your choice. While some of our classes will be taught by Carol, we're also getting some great chefs to come in.
 Weekends will begin with a Friday night get-together to discuss the menu and meet your fellow participants. After breakfast on Saturday morning, you'll don your Bear Mountain Lodge apron (yours to take home) and enjoy your cooking class from 11-2pm, after which you'll sit down with your chef instructor to indulge in the fabulous food you've prepared.
Along with your Bear Mountain Lodge apron, all guests will receive the recipes from the cooking class and a 10% discount coupon toward a future stay or cooking weekend.
Our Spring 2012 schedule is as follows:
- March 23-25, 2012 -- Pizza, Pizza in the Wood Fired Oven
- March 30-April 1, 2012 -- Pizza, Pizza in the Wood Fired Oven
At each of these classes, each participant will make two different pizza doughs and create and cook their own pizzas. We will also celebrate March Maple Madness by making toppings and a wonderful salad dressing using Fuller's Maple Syrup.
